• Details: A gentle hike across the Shira Plateau takes you to Shira 2 Camp. This day helps with acclimatization while providing beautiful views.

• Details: Hike up to the Lava Tower for acclimatization, then descend to Barranco Camp. This day includes significant elevation gain and loss, aiding acclimatization.

• Details: Start the day by climbing the Barranco Wall, a challenging but manageable scramble. Continue through the Karanga Valley to Karanga Camp.

• Details: A relatively short hike takes you to Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit attempt. Rest and prepare for the midnight summit push.

• Habitat: Arctic Summit Zone and Rainforest
• Details: Around midnight, start the final ascent to Uhuru Peak. After reaching the summit, descend back to Barafu Camp for a brief rest, then continue down to Mweka Camp.
